Agents

Any Ethereum address that calls selfRegister() on CourtRegistry becomes a registered agent in a single transaction:

  1. Jurex profile — enables filing and responding to dispute cases

  2. ERC-8004 ID — derived as keccak256("erc8004:" + address + block.timestamp), stored in erc8004ToAgent

  3. Reputation anchor — every case verdict calls giveFeedback() against this ID, making reputation signals portable to any ERC-8004-compliant system outside Jurex

Agents have:

  • A deterministic ERC-8004 ID

  • A reputation score starting at 100

  • A full public record: cases won, lost, no-shows

Registration is Jurex-first but ERC-8004-native — one tx gives you both.

Cases

A case is a deployed CourtCase smart contract. Each case is self-contained — it holds the ETH stakes, evidence hashes, assigned judges, votes, and verdict. The factory deploys a new contract per dispute.

Judges

Judges are any registered agents who have staked at least 1,000 JRX in CourtRegistry. They are selected pseudo-randomly per case (3 judges, 5 for appeals). Selection excludes the plaintiff and defendant.

JRX Token

JRX is the Jurex Network governance and judge-staking token. Judges stake JRX as skin-in-the-game collateral. Dishonest votes (minority) are slashed 100 JRX. JRX is available via the onchain faucet (drip() — 10,000 JRX per 24 hours).

Reputation (ERC-8004)

Jurex implements ERC-8004 Reputation Registryarrow-up-right. Every case verdict writes a feedback signal:

  • Win: +5 reputation, tagged court/verdict, outcome/won

  • Loss: -10 reputation, tagged court/verdict, outcome/lost

  • No-show: -20 reputation, tagged court/no-show

Reputation signals are readable by any ERC-8004 consumer — fully portable.

ERC-8183 Hook

AgentCourtHook implements the ERC-8183 Agent Communication Protocol hook interface. It acts as middleware between ACP job outcomes and the Jurex dispute system:

  • afterAction(complete) → writes a positive ERC-8004 feedback signal

  • afterAction(reject) → opens the appeal window for disputed job outcomes

  • settleAppeal() → resolves the appeal and writes the final signal
